Glossop SNT Meets MP Jon Pearce to Support Safer Streets Campaign

On 18 July 2025, representatives from Derbyshire Police’s Glossop Safer Neighbourhood Team met with High Peak MP Jon Pearce to discuss the ongoing Safer Streets campaign.

The Safer Streets initiative is a national programme aimed at reducing serious harm, tackling anti-social behaviour, and increasing public confidence in both policing and the wider criminal justice system.

Our goal is to make Glossop town centre safer and more welcoming for everyone. By increasing our patrols, working closely with partners, and targeting persistent offenders, we are committed to improving safety for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

You’ll see officers conducting dedicated patrols in Glossop town - this is part of our effort to reduce crime and engage with the community. Please speak to us if you see officers out and about; your feedback is important. Glossop is a safe place, and by working together, we can keep it that way.
